Roy Rogers has recently signed up to Prism for his communications, stable operations and accounting needs.
Roy left school at 14 to pursue a career in the saddle, was race riding by the age of 15 and spent the following seven years on the track. After his weight increased too much to continue race riding, Roy pursued his passion for training and has enjoyed years of continued success with horses like Potent Secret, Hoi An, Heavenly Waters, Luke’s Gold and Big Bada Boom.
Roy spent four years training gallopers in Malaysia before returning to South Australia to train privately for Ken and Helen Smith before returning to Western Australia. Roy is now based in Albany with his young family where he has won Great Southern Trainer of the Year in 2020/2021 and 2022/2023. He has recently streamlined his team of horses to focus on quality and ensure the best experience for his owners and their horses.
Roy Rogers Racing aims to provide a world class horse racing experience for owners and his staff and to set standards for others to aspire to. Roy’s core values include horse welfare and a hands-on approach with the horses in his care to maximise his skills as a trainer, utilising his knowledge in bodywork and chiropractic methods to aid in performance, recovery and overall well-being.

Aside from his passion in training, Roy loves interacting and communicating with his owners at the races and from the stables. Prism will now be the main vehicle for Roy to keep in touch with the people who invest in and support his business.
