1. How did you first get into racing?
My father introduced my sister and I to racing from a young age as he is a trainer and trained for 50 years or more
2. All time favourite horse outside of your own?
River Rage.
Dad thought he was too small and needed time to grow so I started to work him around the roads to get him fit. Dad then put him in work and he won on Ballarat Cup Day with Stan Aitken on board in a thrilling finish.
I still have River Rage on our property, he is 30 next year and still going strong.
3. Favourite Stallion and why?
Starcraft.
He is just a magnificent animal that throws strong, well mannered foals.
4. Toughest horse trained and why?
Royal Althrey with my Dad.
He had an injury that everyone thought would prevent him from racing again, but he was a beautiful horse with immense talent.
We nursed him back into racing through swimming him down at the beach (with me on his back) and he came back and won the Sandown Country Cup.
It was a great training achievement by my father.
5. Biggest thrill in your career to date?
Valse, our filly that Kelly pre-trained, winning at Terang recently from an impossible position.
6. Biggest disappointment?
Her next race at Moonee Valley! The highs and lows of racing
7. Race you would love to win most and why?
Ballarat Cup – my Dad has always wanted to win one.
8. Any budding superstars in your stable that you want to let us know about?
A yearling filly by StarCraft out of Sylvan Court.
9. Hobby/Interests outside of racing?
Racing takes up enough time, so no other hobbies other than family.
10. Training ambitions for the future?
To train a Ballarat cup winner
11. What made you choose Prism?
Ease of use and support - the boys have been great in setting us up and on going. Always quick to help out.
